Magistrate Ron Saines said “With that reading I can well understand your (Beames) astonishment! Your claim of sleepwalking is so implausible that I dismiss it." Beames was given a two-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, along with a A$1,300 fine and a four year disqualification.
