    Question Kill switch = fail

after purchasing a teather switch, I thought I would give it a go,
I located an ignition wire and installed it, but I lol'd myself.

It worked reverse. key out = bike on , key in = bike off, = wtf?

    *bought wrong kind* :-(

Reverse how youve connected it up?
By key, do you mean your main ignition key?

key as in the switch key, pulls out when you bin, sorry might be called something else not kill switch,

from memory its just a like T wiriing setup that you splice an ignition wire so it breaks connection when disconnected,

lol blew a fuse first pop cause i thought one was negative, :-)

Youve probably got it hooked up in reverse somewhere - ie. instead of it being a 'push-to-break-switch', youve wired it up as a 'push-to-make-switch'

Ie. when the key clip comes out, the circuit is allowed to complete, thus shorting the ignition (i think thats how it works)

Yeah most tether kills are for moto x bikes etc, I think they are the open type. You need the closed for a sprots bike ie-circuit closed when tether is in and breaks the circuit when tether is pulled out.

Some types are reversible by swapping an internal part over.
