    Buy good boots!

Please buy and aways use good strong boots when riding.
I had a crash back in 1994 on a road bike and suffered some injuries to my right leg (6 breaks) and serious busing to my toes, while I had on the biggest strongest boots I could buy at the time.... which were Sidi motocross boots.

IF I HAD NOT HAD THOSE BOOTS ON MY I WOULD HAVE LOST MY FOOT.

One way I buy boots now is to grab the heal and toe area and if I can bend the toes back then the boot is not strong enough.

Just passing on that experiance in the hope it might help someone.

PS I restored the bike (Guzzi Falcone) and still have it.
    Regards
    Gavin

Interesting - good man. I use Sidi Motorcross boots and in my recent bin they came through with flying colours. Indeed so did my leathers. Shame about the helmet but it saved my life.

Yep, this is pretty important and reminds me that my boots are more for communting than open road riding.

Definitely good info - boots really are not expensive and like gloves and helmets, are your protection

I wish you'd passed that info on back in 94 Gavin.

Buy boots with Goretex liners. Cheap is as cheap does.
