I've been in one, only moderately messy, media situation - and can tell you I will do everything in my power to never be in front of a media-wielded camera again. I have actually not yet watched the interview that Les did but take my hat off to him - regardless of whether he was nervous or not, or whether he was the best or not. Besides, he's a bona fide Bloody Good Baastid and I'm grateful that he gives so much to the biker community.

You get on some fucking high horse like you know what you are on about but really you are some idiot that hides behind a computer bitching on like you are higher than god. I never actually see you trying to publicise this or any pother cause. All you do is bitch about bikers on this site, nor have I seen you on TV, radio etc doing anything to help rally people etc so why dont your just pack up and shift your loser fucking whinging else where.

    !
Lets not take Katmans posts to out of context, he DID NOT bag Ixion, he merely stated he felt there COULD have been a better person for the job !!
With him being in the motorcycle repair/sales trade, he would be worried about the outcome of this protest as it could have detremental effect on his business and only want the best outcome correct ?
Then perhaps the trade should get together and have a rider/lawyer on salary who can speak a hundred words per minute and have a PA that can type a 1500 word speech at the drop of the hat !

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Quite funny that, at a time when a united front is required, some people are complaining about looks and image.

You didn't hear the soldiers of WW2 complaining that Patton was an ugly mutt...no, he got the job done and his men followed him wherever he went.

Now I'm not saying Ixion is an ugly mutt, but for fucks sake people he's a commander in the field and stepped up to the plate when the shit hit the fan - surely the least of our worries should be whether he is America's next top model? Should we not be supporting this man as much as we can, for the greater good? As for finding a "better person for the job"...as head of the BIKERS RIGHTS organisation surely there can be no better person?

I'm personally making plans to attend D-day on Nov 15th - good on ya Les.

Ixion, you were great, even the missus who doesnt give a toss was impressed. You put across the point(s) really well, the figures were bought up and calculated beautifully, and delivered quickly, anyone of the public would have motorbikers down as being screwed over. Thanks mate, and I for one (and most others) appreciate your time.

Katman, jeez you really can be such a negative guy at times... for fucks sake, a bit of self analysis needs to happen dude, cos you can be such a dick. Appreciate what is good, and for a good cause, and maybe all these people, over I guess many years, may stop calling you fuckwit.

It's idiot comments like this that make me indifferent about getting involved in this campaign. Every self-righteous prick is a fucking expert on parliamentary democracies, trying to be more outraged than previous posters about the proposed increase in ACC levies, yet completely devoid of ideas as to how to win the hearts and minds of middle New Zealand and also offer up viable alternative solutions.

Les did an outstanding job tonight. He made ACC's CEO look like an unprepared idiot, and won a major concession that ACC would provide its base data to BRONZ at no cost.

Thank goodness Les is prepared to be the public face of this campaign, rather than some of the braindead oiks who've variously posted comments on this matter.

Great job Ixion. It is a very hard thing to do when set up for a scrap by the media.

Thanks for speaking on my behalf.

But this is a first time poster that probably only became a member to stir. Is that just cause to end the battle? I do not think you are that naive Mr Hitcher.

We just watched it here at work and have to say Les - you did a great job there.

The choice of clothes was perfect. You really came across as the average bloke and I bet you challenged a lot of people's perceptions of what a biker was.

Considering its only your second time on telly interviews you're learning fast.

I'm proud of you. You've got my support.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
