A woman had a problem with her pinky finger. Doctor refered her to surgeon who told her they need to operate to repair tendons. She goes in and the surgeon finds he cant repair her finger so he amputates it (just the tip of it). Now she says she cant work so gets onto a sickness benefit for a number of years.
I can't think of many jobs that you can't do without a pinky finger except hand model.

My friends mother was on acc after having her carpel tunnel operation botched. Did you know you get the use back of your hands after 10 years (according to ACC doctors) even though she is unable to do up a button?

Well typing would be a bit of a bitch for the first week or 2 perhaps, but I knew a guy with a couple of missing fingers who could type pretty well...

I wouldn't know. I only know one commie, and I'm not that sure about him, even.

There are many genuine cases out there but they need really to look into the oxygen thieves who are milking it. Which means more bureaucracy which costs more....and round an round an round she goes.

Do you think they're not still about? They are... they've just rebranded as 'greenies'.

Talking of waste, according to info posted elsewhere on here apparently they (ACC) pay their Australian CEO $560,000 p.a. and fly her backwards and forwards from Aussie every weekend. Oh, and she only does a 4 day week.....

There's plenty of info and horror stories over on the ACC forum: http://accforum.org/forums/index.php?

The mere fact that it has a dedicated and highly active forum points to a compensation scheme that is troubled IMO.
