What's the little bubble thing for? Suzi rg150

Was pulling out old hoses to replace them and was wondering just what the little bubble canister thing (looks like a small buoy) with an opening both ends with hose connectors. I've seen it before and cleaned it out but i have no idea what it's for!

    maybe

I should put a pic up? Is that possible? I know it's supposed to clean and not hold anything, but there was alot of residue in it, so i cleaned it out. It's a yellow/orange colour. But it's so frustrating not knowing and i can't find my manual!

Yes that would help, to upload a picture goto 'manage attachments' (in a new reply), then browse for file, click upload, and once it shows the file at the bottom close the windo

Do you put a premix in your bike?

Also it could be the water reserviour for the radiator? I hope it isnt because if thats empty that isnt good.

hey, my understanding of it is its just for exaust gasses from the powervalves. Think it might make the gasses expand or contract. I started pulling my siezed rg150 apart today its a bloddy mess

    So it's actual use?

Is to what? Should it be full of residue (burnt oil). BTW she_said, no premix. Seperate chamber for oil. Run strictly on 98 and the best 2r oil (can't remember the name but it's a pretty blue! And it's n ot cheap :P) Thanks for your help guys!

Blue I assume it is just to condense the oil fumes out of the exhaust. It is just a breather.

I'd go with an oil breather of some sort too.. If it was a filter/inline somethingorother, then it'd have fluid in, but breathers just hang, and sometimes get spat in with oil, hence the residue. No need to replace unless the plastic has worn
just a stab at it I guess..

On my RG the hoses going into the 'littlewhitedoodad' were cracked, so I cut the cracked bits off... It gave me quite a noticeable power gain.

connected to the mounting between the carb and intake ports? it's a boost bottle, for increasing midrange power.
