All this hooharrr about stopping people talking on their cellphones while driving and yet I don't see anything that pertains to stopping the very dangerous practise I witnessed the other day.
Tootling along on the bike thinking to myself how nice it was that it wasn't raining I started to notice the mini in front of me was swerving all over the road and braking and accerlating erratically.
Learner driver I assumed...but as I watched I noticed the occupants and driver were gesticulating wildly - hands flinging about like they were swatting away bees...then I looked closer - they were signing to each other - having a hearing impaired conversation while driving FFS!
Surely deaf drivers 'having a conversation with their deaf back seat passengers' is even more dangerous than cell phone usage - where's the demerit points for this situation eh?!
