    Just replace the spring clip link with a rivet link. They are riveted on and don't come off.

    Spring clip came off my chain a couple of times on my race bike. No reall explaination-sometimes shit happens

    Had that happen too, I put a smear off RTV on the clip once its fitted and never had trouble with it again
