    K7 SV650S rear shock options?

OK. So the Ohlins is the bee's knees...but its NOT cheap...

Anything else out there that will do a good job that is a little more affordable?

Yes, the search engine is my friend but I'm a lazy bastard...

Yep, the Penske 8983. Remote damping control, adjustable for ride height. Favoured by overseas SV owners and what I have on the Blackbird. PM me your email address and I'll send you some details.

    You ARE repeating yourself arncha?

On a more serious note, what model etc and how would it fit an SV?

    Thanks for the reply BTW...

When we sell an Ohlins shock for an SV if its for road racing / trackday etc we do a whole load of premods that if done seperately would be nigh on $900. The shocks are built basically for what the bikes are primarily intended for, road commuting. So its not straight out of the box and there you are.!!

We completely change the internal valving, we change the compression bleed body to a different size, instal a one way shaft poppett jet, respring it and also change the top rubberised bushing at the top of the shock for a self aligning type. All at no extra to the standard retail price. Added value and totally attentive to our local road and track conditions.

If you look at purchasing overseas from the US parasites are you going to get any of that? ( Nor with Penske ) Are they going to foc exchange the spring if you subsequently decide that you want a slightly softer or firmer rate? NO. Note that spring rate calculators are a guideline only and in the end event everyone has a differing conception of what they prefer....

Will they be on hand to assist trackside with setup or just a local toll call away? I think not. Are they contributing to the local economy and employing New Zealanders? Etc

We add a lot of immediate and ongoing value with the suspension products and services that we sell.

Hey Robert, bit off topic, but do you do a raising kit of some form for the NC35? the stock shocks are adequate, just not long enough (exhaust lifts rear wheel off the ground at full lean)

    cheers

Pity there isn't a worked SV handy. Yup - I know needs to be optimised for the rider, purpose etc... but something to show us what 90% better than stock is. Talk is cheap and we only know the best we've ridden.

If you're going to upgrade your suspension, it's worth doing it properly, and worth saving for, rather than trying to save money on. I can tell you that from personal experience.

Sorry I missed this, there is no kit as such and its something youd have to engineer at the shock mounting points.
