An alternative to the SV for protwins

I'm sure the Duke can be put on a diet and loose many of those kg's. And the biggest benefit is the engine can be stressed considerably more than the SV650 without shitting itself. And it can suck in plenty of air under the current rules.

Of course the repowered 250 GP bike option is the best of the two ideas but its also alot more controversial.

20Kgs is allot to drop!! as Ducs aren't filled with crappy material like an SV. For the Desmo to drop 20kg would be real hard!!

A 125gp bike with a CR500/KX500 donk in it - now theres a handful!!

100KGs /100HP easily do able!!

Nup, 160kg is doable, you just need a biiiiiig cheque book!

That moto-genius Thorsten Durbahn has already got a 999 (virtually same as a 749) down to 160kg's, with fuel, as evidenced here: http://www.ducati-999.com/

I was told that SV's were made from melted down historic bikes like Kwaka 400's & the like......., so that does explain a bit :-)

Has anyone thought sometihng Moto2 a 600 engine in a 250gp chassis and theres guys doing it over seas racing but instead of running it as a 600 do thetriple to it thatd be a awsome bike very very light and good handling chassis with a really good engine in it proved by Chris and Kirk that the 2 Chris has built are blimmin fast

Ahhhh That is where they get their good gene's from.... so what are HYOSUGNSNS?!?! made from.....
