we need a sensational eye opener
100 women riding on all sizes of bikes from scooters up to big block HD's
A public statement that would bring on a whole heap of attention from the media
the publics view of who we all are could be changed by that single action.
It would put bikes into the kitchen and out of the pub
    Crikey! There's an interesting thought!

I really like the idea but I think the logistics would be a nightmare. I can imagine a lot of blokes getting annoyed at this idea on the day and barging their way to the front of the group - potentially causing a lot more hassle than it's worth.

But I really like the idea!

Actually - my aunty (who is a very clever and creative woman) came up with an idea. Have any of you heard of Lady Godiva? She's a woman according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry, England, to protest against the HUGE taxation imposed by her husband on his tenants.

Anyway, my Aunty's suggestions was wearing "naked suits" (you're not naked but look like you are) and riding to Parliament on the 17th like that. I thought it's a great idea but I guess if our focus is being safe and responsible riders it may come across as being a conflicting message.

I'm a feminist and my legs need a shave but, I'd be into being part of a protest representing the many awesome women that ride motorbikes in a CHICKO not cos I'm a feminist with hairy legs but because this proposed levy increase sucks on many levels!! And as every good little feminist knows women are still paid less than men so we'll be hit harder economically by the increase!

OMG I love the naked suit!

Off-topic: My cousin used to be a trapeze artist and she needed a naked suit. She shaved our Grandma's little black poodle and used its fur to make fake pubic hair and armpit hair!

Back on topic: I adore the Lady Godiva idea. How about we save it up, and if we haven't won this battle by the time parliament sits again (Jan? Feb?) we will hire a naked costume and Lady Godiva will ride to the beehive!

That's what I was thinking. Somehow (amidst the confusion) on the 17th - the female riders arrive first at parliament. Imagine the media's surprise (but hopefully this cascades to the public), that the stereotypical bearded rough as guts, never shaken hands with a bathtub rider is infact an image from the movies. It would be good for the media to focus on the female riders for a change... then people might think "they are everyday people" and sympathise with us.

Mrs. B has a naked suit, I'll see if she's willing to wear it on the 17th.

Apparently the 17th is StoneY's birthday... I wonder if he'll be wearing his birthday suit...
