There is, apparently, a story on cyclists being taken out by drivers.
Looks like the angle is "poor little cyclists"
Perhaps someone more articulate than I can watch this and make relevant comments about "poor little motorcyclists" too.

I've had that happen to me both when cycling and riding my motorcicle.
It's much more intimidating on a push bike though, and I've had it happen probably as much as five times where cars have decided they need my space more than me and almost pushed me into the curb, only to then have me go past them 20m later when they slow for traffic.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
I don't know that I want to be considered a "poor little motorcyclist" though.
I'm big enough and ugly enough to look after myself.
I have no expectation of the general public to look out for my safety.
Did anyone see this? Interesting angle, namely:
Cyclists are mostly pretty good. The odd one is a menace (overtaking dangerously, etc) and sometimes they hog the road, causing frustration. When there is an accident, regardless of fault, they usually come off second best to the car involved.
Statictically, they are usually only soley responsible for 25% of accidents where another vehicle is involved.
Sound vaguely familiar?
