absolutely loved them since my brothers taught me what good music was when I was about 8. Own all of their albums, love all of it for different reasons, love the hard stuff of master of puppetts and ride the lightning but really appreciate the mean rock stuff in load, the self titled black album would still have to be the greatest album ever

I guess I am more of a rock/hard rock lover than metal

love my.... megadeth, alice in chains, pearl jam, nirvana, SAVANT!! (way under rated kiwi band) perfect circle, tool etc

Driving home from work with some decent rock on the stereo is a bit like that guy on the BMW ad where it says "arrive smiling" I always arrive smiling and amp'd after listening to real music.
    I knew it!

Holy crap, the song that got me started on my road to Metal was "Fade to Black". I learnt the intro in form 2, so decided to listen to the entire song. The end solo is so fucken awesome, like, when I listen to it off the Cunning Stunts DVD, it just stirs something inside me and Waaahh!

I think I need to calm down

HHmmm didn't see Van Halen there anywhere ... and Rainbow were a great outfit ... What about Alcatraz, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Hardline, Budgie, Gary Moore (before he found the blues ... Get Corridors of Power if you can !!), Sammy Hagar, The list goes on ...... I have about 1500 LP's that I'm slowly putting onto mini-disc ... and I mean slowly !! It takes ages to clean the vinyl up for just one clean take !!

great to see a good metal turnout at KB. my interests can mostly be summed up like Cryhavoc's (I wonder why..... )

a few notable extras though, like Evergrey (great Swedish outfit), Opeth, Yngwie Malmsteen, and heaps of ecclectic instrumental stuff.

    Woohoo! Real music.

Godsmack, System of a Down, Pantera, Damageplan (RIP), Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, RATM, Audioslave, Henry Rollins Band, Living Colour, Fear Factory, Rammstein, Clawfinger, Muse, I could go on and on!

Fade to Black was the song that saved me from lame-rock. when I first downloaded and heard it, I was literally blown away... listened to it continuously for the rest of the night. my life changed significantly, I had heard pure musical perfection. I would never go back.

I'm surprised how many awesome people are on this site. And the media has lead us to believe everyone likes rap

Just a reminder, download Heart of Darkness by Arch Enemy, bloody awesome

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
