Iron butterfly, hehe. Who else out there can write a song and them come to record it drunk, totally botch it up and have it be so popular? Good song though.

I got their first album (Hate Made Me) long before it became cool to like them. Need to get the other 2. Heard one of their latest songs on the Axe Attack. It had a guitar solo!! Finally, they are damned good guitarists, don't know why they never had any solos

It is in my sons room along with my turntable and assorted 'metal' vinyl albums and the best thing of all he now buys his own vinyl as they are cheaper the CDs!

I feel proud that I can influence my children to listen and love real music and not the POPular selling songs that we are subjected to at times.

Do you own a fur-lined jockstrap, too?
'Manowar, manowar, living on the road!'

Ozzy Osbourne was the first live gig I ever went to.
    Motorhead were the second
    Sepultura were the third.

After that my fate was more or less sealed, and satan had my soul. I reckon it was a fair exchange, though.

    Currently listening to:

    Pantera
    Corrosion of Conformity
    Fear Factory
    Kyuss
    Queens of the Stone Age
    Rammstein
Metallica ('Justice for all' changed my life when I was 16. Best not mention 'the crap, oops I mean black, album)
    Pitchshifter
    Lard
    White Zombie

Maiden, Dio, early Metallica, Sabbath.... to be played loudly. Particularly when the kids are watching fluffy kiddie videos.

Not so much heavy more black/death metal....

Burzum, Emperor, Sirius, Opeth, Nile, Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse (oh the carnage), Krisuin, Lord Belial, Sepultura, Pig Destroyer, Children Of Bodom, Synergy, Zyklon, Necrophagist, Meshuggah, Mastodon, 8 Foot Sativa (1st album) , Arcturus , Brodequin, Behemoth, Darkthrone , Dark Funeral, Dawn, Crimson moonlight etc etc etc.... all the nice stuff you play to little children at playschool.

I also play in a black metal band called Atlas

Good to see some people still liking metal and keeping away from some of the mainstream crap that bombards us day to day
