Not as many as there are thin smokers. It's an appetite suppressant...hence why most models and a shitload of ballerinas smoke.

shit i forgot thats the way it used to be,back in the day they were called fat,they were fat cause they couldnt keep there mouths shut every time they saw a pie/donut/packet of chips or infact anything else remotely edible,fatness has gone by the way and turned into obese or "i eat every fucking thing i see"disease and blame these days is put on upon the parents that divorced/dad played to much golf/my brother had ADHD whatever.All good,nothing like seeing a fat

Really,i smoke and eat heaps,methinks smoking has absolutly nothing to do with why models are thin,nor ballerinas,who wants to watch Swan lake performed by a bunch of fattys not to mention whos going to catch em.

I dont know enough about it to comment. Theres taxes everywhere. In petrol in alcohol in cigarettes, the interest my bank account earns is taxed to IRD, the rates on each piece of land in the country, gst. PAYE. plus hundreds more ways I'd say. You think how much money is going to the government. They could pay for that girls treatment, buy her a nice cosy house somewhere on the coast with a view, buy her a new R1 to keep her mind off drinking, then pay for her crash treatment.

ACC levies are included in the cost of purchasing alcohol. My worked bumped up the cost of a pint dramatically, I questioned why and was informed ACC levies had gone up on alcohol. Someone who knows a bit more may be able to correct me on this how ever.

Saw a post on small-time street-class drag racing in late 50's - early 60's in north-east USA.

One thing I noticed straight away was - no fat bastards, either racing or in the audience.

The other thing i also noticed was the lack of hot-dog stands etc in the back-ground.

And KFC, Jack-in-the Box, Wendys, Maccas et all had yet to hit the scene.

People that sneer at all the 'fat-Yanks' should have a look around, we have a shit-load of home-grown fat bastards right here.
