    Beeyootiful day yesterday, after a week of horrible winds, about 23 deg out there today (Mon) and very pleasant.

    Unfortunately, forecast is ratshit for Friday, about 8 degrees...? Hoping this is a normal forecasting cock-up and things will be ok for the weekend...

    Long range forecasts are generally crap. pays to look at the weather maps and satellite pics yourself

    Greymouth currently, loads of bikes on the road, also loads of road works on both coasts so if you are coming through there take care.

    Our group(Timg is joining us)head off Friday morning...Invercargill via the Catlins

    Keep looking at the forcast & getting out an extra layer to pack,the wets are organised.....nearly time to ride!!

    So ok the Trotters Gorge IS sealed , narrow but a nice small detour all the same.
    The WIND holyshit from about Milton to where im staying 2nite (Gore)is craaazzeee oh and a bit wet , still a great day riding.

    Yep it is definately sealed. Been through there many a time. Definately more interesting than taking the coast.
