What a great place we live in, eh?

Plenty of doom n gloom lately re rego hikes etc but whilst sitting out at the beach surfcasting this morning the sun rising and the sea as flat as a pancake i was reminded of just how lucky we are,to top it off i got lucky and caught my first Elephant fish of the seasonNo points for guessing whats for dinner, might just as well carry on and turn a great morning into a great day and am about to drag the old TLS out of the shed and take a ride over the Pig Route to Naseby and have an ale, sit outside and toast whatever gave me the good fortune to be born in such a place. As you were.

    Likewise.

Up at 5, went for swim, mowed the lawns, worked on the '37 coupe and now about to cruise off to an engineering shop in the T-bird - to get some steel for a 'bush-bath' project CB and I are working on....ah bliss, a sunny warm day and all to myself.

Good stuff! You're so very right, we do live in a fantastic country, it has it's faults, but still a shitload better than many many other places!

You bunch of lazy bastards - get to work!

Frankly I was too tired to even ride the bike this morning...some people have an easy life, but I don't think I am one of them...

But yes, when I do get time off, I do appreciate the chance to be out in the world around us...

Agreed, if an increase in levies that pay for essentially free healthcare for everyone is the biggest of our worries then we can't be doing too badly.

Sure hope you had a great ride and enjoy your fish for dinner. I'll be round about 7.30. Should I bring the wine????
