    I bought a Honda CB400 F2R. Don't really know the differences between the CB400 models, but yeah it is a F2R. 1994, done 25,000km.

    thanks.

I got it privately. It is a CB400 Super 4. I think The model is F2R..?? There are so many different models of the CB400, I am confused. There are some with adjustable front shocks, VTEC , 4 pot calipers (Nissin and BREMBO), cone shaped exhausts and full length exhausts.

The one I got has 2 pot calipers like the CBR250RR and non-adjustable front forks.

Here are the photos the owner sent to me:

I get to pick it up on Tuesday.

cool. mind if I come have a look once you got it? As I am looking at getting a commuter as well and have been consindering the CB400's.

have you thought about the BROS 400 or 650?

yeap, no problem. I considered the BROS 400 but I didn't like the single sided rear sway arm. I also didn't like the short exhaust. I found the CB400 to be a nicer bike to look at. I didn't test ride the BROS so I can't really comment.

I finally picked it up today. The ride home was a little funny. Having no fairing in front of you and being a streetfighter, the handling was twitchy compared to sports bikes. But I can imagine that would be a handy thing to have in the city / traffic jam. The bike is a wee bit heavy.

but my sister had to ask if she could take it for a ride, I kindly obliged and she dropped it ... so now a bent front brake lever, some scratches and a broken foot peg .....
