    He told me it was a absess from him fighting (it was clean no infection and no bad smell). I told him it looked more like the cat had been shot. He said "yes it does but we won't go down that path just yet." I was told to take him home, if it didn't start to heal or the cat went downhill to bring him back for an x-ray.

    Hmmm does make you wonder when it's left like that eh? Bugger...regardless, still not a good outcome. It's never nice to lose the wee fellas no matter what the cause.

    I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs and I'd be gutted if anything happend to any of them. People suck!

    No.People have lived with lead bullets from WW1 in them for 60 years.Lead doesn't react much in muscle tissue and thus does not produce its poisonous salts.
    Ducks grind up pellets in their gizzard after mistaking them for stones.
