    Ignitor unit FZR 1000/750

After the ignitor unit for 1987 FZR1000

If anyone has a 750 unit, also interested as they work too..

    Cheers

If you're getting a 750 ignitor, make sure you don't get the 2LM (Japanese spec 750) ignitor - it will retard the ignition significantly.

Also, you may find the 750 causes trouble with over-revving causing you to potentially throw a valve into a piston.

    I'd be looking for a 1000 ignitor.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Will consider that, thank you.

Just having a browse, would http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123 work?

    It's gonna be tricky.

From what I remember, the FZ ignitor works with the single pickup ignition on that bike.

The FZR1000 and 750 Genesis motors use a twin pickup ignition.

Not sure how to sort this out.

EXUP Brotherhood used to have all the answers, but they haven't been around for yonks.

Hopefully someone else can help more. Sorry. Been too long since I had an FZR...

    This is of a 750 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamah...item2a024d3155

mossy1200 has told me that I need a fzr750r -owo1 unit, so that is probably not the right one, or a genesis but the 1000 genesis are so rare.
