    no pack rack

Well I didn't manage to get a pack rack fitted today - so after work tonight I'll be doing my best to attach my tent etc to my bike - wish me luck! If I don't make it to the yaldie at 9am looks like I'll be travelling with Guzza and a few others, either way hope to meet you all there!

But of course. She might need a wee sleepy when we get there though, before she starts round 2 for the weekend.

Are you heading to the coast for the KB rally?catch you then?

    Thanks for the road update[/QUOTE]

    Working on it

Only manage to get out for short strops around the backroads at present & had to head through to Chertsey so went through the gorge and found all the patches of kitty litter & got held up by a lollypop cowboy at the gorge bridges.

well had a nice blat to the rally this morning with about 15 tagging along, (picked up Ghostie at Mayfield cos he got left behind!), strong nor'wester till Darfield, then it eased off a bit so was quite pleasant thru the gorge.
Met up with a big bunch from north and south at geraldine, (XKnuts, and nighthawk amongst others) for quite a nice meal at the usual stop, then onto the rally.
Was a bit stiffling at somewhere around 30 degrees, everyone seemed to be sheltering in the trees. We hung around for a couple of hours until the southerly decided to blow thru, and dropped the temp down to about 15. So we road off only to face the southerly trying to blow us off the road again. Then the weirdest thing as we hit Rakaia, sudden temp rise back up to the mid 20's and the norwester blowing us back the other way... ah well the joys of riding in canterbury.

I think camp KB was well on the road to drunkeness from last phone reports, I'm sure there will be some stories from the party goers tomorrow.

oh yeah and OMG there were a huge number of fonterra trucks on the road (each one like a flippen hurricane hitting as they came toward us, poor LittleM was getting blown round a bit), must have been milking time I guess.

You got those too? GB and 98tls with their German accents, then Q went Chinese, tongue in the ear from D (surprising given his heavy breathing and grunting), 98tls telling me to pick up my $15k carbon fibre pistons...drunken bums, all of them... Don't think I missed too much at all.

haha... that doesn't surprise me! Q is notorious for his drunken calls to people at ungodly hours.
