    RX125 indicators not working properly.

I borrowed this RX125 to get my licence on, however the indicators aren't working very well. They sort of take ages to come on, sometimes won't start working, and if they do work, they go very slowly.

I have measured the volts, and it only seems to have about 5.5. How many should it be charging at? It is a 6 volt system. I brought a 500mA charger and am charging the battery, but the volts are hardly going over 6 volts, I guess the battery must be a bit flat?

Does anyone have any tips of what might be causing the problem? Could the battery be no good, and it is draining the system too much for the volts to go much above 6? Or might the charging system be shagged? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like someone's put 12V indicator bulbs in it.

No need to panic, I have sorted it out.

Turns out that the rear brake switch was improperly adjusted, and that it was causing the brake light to come on at all times, and this was using up all the volts.

Once I fixed that she's right as rain!

Sweet as, it's all rosy for my licence test tommorow!
