    Christchurch Thursday Night Nana Race

Well folks, I think it's about time we get the Thursday night riding set up again!

A lot of people who would like to be out riding with the WNR crew often can't due to work, family and all that, so these rides are for them and anyone else who needs a bit more riding to scratch their itch.

I have titled the thread as such because this ride, often being a smaller group, is about doing one's own thing - although typically this is being a nana and going at a nice cruisy pace to a nice cruisy place.

Anyone wishing to ride a bit faster is welcome but it would be appreciated by the nana republic that they move on a bit before the rest of the group so that everybody has more fun. The nanas won't be pressured and the Akaroa World GP contenders won't be held up.

    Seem fair? Good.

I, at least, will be waiting in the Moorhouse Ave Burger King carpark at 6 o clock for a departure at 6 30ish / whenever everybody has arrived, and will be heading out for a ride somewhere.

Current thoughts are the inverse of "Wet's route". That is, through Sumner, up Evan's pass, onto Summit Rd to Dyer's pass, down the bays side of Dyer's and on to the Wheatsheaf.

First ride will take place on the 15th of October.

    Hope to see people there!

I could be up for this. Don't finish work until 5:30 so I'll be there by 6:15 at the earliest.

That's fine, it wouldn't be a Christchurch ride without standing around talking bollocks for a while at the start.

Yeah I think that since there's typically a smaller turnout on Thursdays it can be more of a do what you like ride.

Not that there's anything wrong with learner riders coming along, I mean I'm not exactly "old school" myself. I'd be hanging around at the back anyway.

that is what MW is saying, if you want/need to race leave before the newbees & meet up later

Hey, just thought I'd give this thread a bump for anybody who hasn't seen it.

Still very much going ahead tonight, awesome weather.

Will be there with bells on. Maybe not bells. Cordura more likely.
