    Killjoys are out again

Enjoy a smoke while you can people, I just read in the Herald that the Gummint is considering roadside tests for cannabis.
That stuff stays in your system for days. Or we could do like Bill Clinton, not inhale.

What do you guys reckon about blasting when your high, I've spoken to someone who does that and he reckons it relaxes him so there is no danger involved. From personal experience, I wouldn't jump on a bike at all after doing you know what, not that I do it anymore anyways.

You tend to ride slow when wasted. Drunk people ride/drive more aggressively, but wasters ride/drive more passively.

Last time I rode slightly wasted, I drove straight into a Skoda! - but very slowly....didnt even fall off  Did more damage to the Skoda than to the Kwaka triple.!

Wouldnt want to try riding wasted these days though......regardless of what riders say - it fucks your motor skills and concentration and you need all the ability you can muster when your're riding.

I disagree with this entirely - anything that impairs your judgement, reaction times and capability while riding is not a good thing.  I know how bad it is stoned sitting down - let alone stoned at 160kph down a back road

I wouldn't drive or ride in the next 8 hours after any drugs/alcohol/etc.

Just a bit of info, if you take Panadol (or anything containing paracetamol) please stay away from extended direct heat (especially strong sunlight) exposure. The side effects include dizziness, lapse of judgement, etc very similar to drunkenness, deep fatigue or hypothermia.

Heck, I wouldn't even drive after Panadol. I'd take Panadol after I get home.

There must be something wrong with your head, mate. Try see a doctor. Extended use of Panadol is not recommended at all.

i say go go go! spark up the random testing ASAP! im sure it can only help? whats the worst its going to do? catch a few more stoners.

fully agree with Wkid_1... with you on this one 100% dude.

not that i have ever tried any illegal drug, let alone whilst in control of a motor vechile, but i learnt first time when it came to being 15 with an R licence drinking @ a party and having enuf trouble trying to get the keys out of my pocket, let alone into the lock then to figure out how to takeoff without stalling... well yeah, luckily i only really got as far as trying to get the keys out of my pocket (pitty i was searching the wrong pocket all along).

For mine, I'd be too paranoid to get on a bike if I'd smoked... too much to concentrate on - not that I've done it in ages - with 3 kids under 6 too expensive and too much responsibility for that crap now. Stick to my single malts (but NEVER when riding or driving).

Seems to me a lot more cagers stoned on the roads than riders anyway.

Maybe if we get a few stoners off the road the remaining ones might see us a bit more often, especially at roundabouts.

VERY interesting about the Paracetamol and heat. I've had that happen to me before in those circumstances but never associated the two - just thought it was the pain I was taking the pills for. I'll watch that in future.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Hold up there Neddy! I was more concerned about the long term traces left in your system than riding stoned. I've never done that, NO no no no no.
