Personally I'd take a Mrs mac's over anything else in a dairy's pie warmer and even go so far as to say I'd prefer Mrs M over a Wild Bean Pie. You can't go past a Wild Bean coffee on the side of the road though and said coffee makes up for their cardboard flavoured pastry.

Wild bean thai chicken is great! The best one's I've had though are from the lunchbar/cafe by the portage road ex roundabout in new lynn. Good coffee too. Mrs maks is shit in comparison

I dont even let an attendant pump my gas, let alone wash my pristine paint job with some shit spray....as for pies the best I have tried on my travels (which is alot) would be "rumour has it" bakery on Pioneer highway, palmerston north, would have to be the bees knees. a good ol kiwi boy, and he only charges $2.50 for the pies and $1.80 for V drinks such a nice change from all the rubbish (and over priced) asian pie shops that seem to be popping up on every corner (no offence to asians they just cant make a good pie)

I accept that you enjoyed MAketu Pies but when I was last out at Maketu, what to do? Have a pie or 2....I bought ONE, and really enjoyed it, so picked up another on the way outta town - talk about Piggy!
