    Pathetic transact site

    What a god damn joke.

Just recently sold one of my bikes to someone in taupo, and they live on, say, Spa Rd, Taupo. (address changed to protect privacy of buyer)

So I went off to the Transact website (https://transact.landtransport.govt.nz/) to do my half of the "Sold Vehicle" form.

Stupid fucking thing asks me to enter this information:

    Code:
     Family / Company name:
      Given name(s):

      Flat / apartment no:
      House / building no:

      Street name:

      Suburb:

      City / town:

    Additional details (if applicable)
    Property name:
    Rural delivery no:
I entered nearly all the details, until I got to the "Suburb" part. I have no idea what to put here. According to google maps and NZ Posts' own Post Code locator (recommended to use this by transact site since the address was 'incorrect'), the address of the bloke is < street number >, Spa Rd, Taupo. No suburb!!

It won't let me proceed till I enter a VALID 'Suburb', even though there isn't one:

    Read this...

    * Error: The address format you have entered does not meet NZ Post standards. Click on the following link to check your address and then try again http://www.nzpost.co.nz/Cultures/en-...tCodeFinder/p/
Which stupid fucking monkey designed this god damn website?

I had the same problem when I sold my dad's car. I rang up LTNZ and the guy on the other end of the phone "forced" the details through, and it went through fine.

What's the point of having a site that doesn't even fucking work half the time? FUCK! Why have a field that is impossible to fill under certain circumstances? That's piss poor quality testing if I ever saw it.

And yes, I have tried putting in Taupo, Waikato even, and it said the address was wrong. Is there actually a secret suburb in this area that I know nothing of? The bloke who bought my bike certainly didnt.

Dont even start me, though I am currently reconcilling my attitude No choice really.

I live in small town Warkworth, part of the Rodney county. Apparently I have lived in Auckland all along. The number of times I get asked "what part of Auckland is that?" when on the phone, or the lack of recognition of Warkworth as a place all of its own, that has crept into things over the years. Yes, soon to be AUCKLAND SUPER CITY actually.

It's not the computers that are the problem - it's the people who wrote the code. Like the stupid shit flinging monkeys that designed and coded transact.

Did you also mention the amount of Volvos permanently indicating left piloted by people much like the call centre person in Howick?

No shit first time I drove through Howick I saw exactly that and the second time I was relaying that story to a passenger while driving through Howick and low and behold another one right in front of us.

Don't worry about them, the indicator will eventually turn off

Worry about those that enter a roundabout, with left indicator, then right, then hazard lights, then goes straight through roundabout

I know, there were cows grazing when I lived there, Sommerville Road was a dirt track we all learned to rally drive on
