    Trailer rules?

What's the rule with trailer lights - I have heard lots of conflicting information.

Can you tow an empty trailer without trailer lights during the day (if your vehicle lights are visible)? Yes or No.

Thought I'd lost my thread - it's been moved after like 2 minutes!

    From that site:
Two red lights at the back to show how wide the trailer is.
    Direction indicators at the back.
Two red stop lights at the back, if the driver's signals can't be seen.
A number plate light at the back.

To me that says you can tow without lights - the word 'if' says so, does it not?

Yes, you can tow without lights. If hand signals can be seen from behind then you can also tow a load that conceals the car lights.

But you must at your soonest opportunity have a wheel loose that comes off and over takes you.

Bought a connector, wired it up, no problemo.
