I wonder if this would qualify as a bucket

KTM 125 four stroke concept bike. Looks like a sweet bucket racer to me:

Looks rather "competition-based", so technically no.

But would be awesome to ride !!

HA! can just imagine what the buckets-must-be-some-old-shitter-that-was-made-in-the-1970's brigade would say about one of those turning up, even if it wasn't 'competition based'.

a 450 engine in that frame would be better.

A bucket should be an old shitter!!!!!!! so lets see what’s out back, that we could make a racer out of……….

and what do we have here, an old 86-87 Yamaha SDR, lattice frame, 17” mag wheels, disks both ends, water cooled, mono shock, sport styling, 105kg and close to 50/50 balance.

and what does the look-a-like KTM have, that’s new, a shiny paint job and a limp 4-stroke engine

Pic-2 & 3 is the old shitter that could be made into a very fast Bucket. At 15hp the KTM is just another expensive Ho-Hum ride.

Still for a copy-cat bike the KTM looks pretty good and would be a fun bucket, but the old 20rwhp 70's GP’s run by Team ESE would eat it for breakfast.....

Yeah I thought those SDRs looked like they had promise as I eyed one up at a mate's lock up. As clearly he obviously did too, the frame & sw sat propped up in the corner as if waiting for a suitable engine transplant.

Until I picked it up. Grunt. golly.
