    Endurance race 22/11 Kaitoke definite

    Alrighties.

    THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING.

    9.00am scrutineer
    9.30am rider's briefing
    9.35am practice
    2 or 3 A & B races 10 laps each clockwise.

    Lunch 30 mins

2 hour endurance race running clockwise direction - can ride on your own or have 2 riders.

Must have a minimum of one pit stop - sole rider jumps off - does one lap around his bike and jumps back on (would equate to same time as second rider jumping on)

Bike must be stopped at pitlane, pushed through pits and started again on dummy grid.

A & B riders will run together as the track is big enough to accomodate this.
However, as this is a fun event, please ensure the A riders be considerate of the B riders when passing.

Then if anyone has energy left, we do another couple of races afterwards in reverse direction.

Prizegiving and drinks at the end of day.

Hey to make it fun, instead of solo riders running around their bike, how about they ride in, dismount and push bike through pit, eat a chocolate fish, remount and continue. I take it we're not having mixed A and B grade teams?

A rider or 2 have mentioned they want to do the whole 2 hours solo so I guess we can just make it however people want it.
However, would be good if the A riders team up with the B's and I'll strongly suggest that at briefing.

A chocolate fish is what you give everyone else when you crash - if they see it. If you try to hide it and get caught it's two chocolate fish to everyone.

I'm pretty keen to do the 2 hours by myself for the track time! Gotta keep improving! I don't mind doing a lap around my bike or eating a chocolate fish, sounds good to me. However I don't think I will be able to afford a million chocolate fish for the crashing I intend to be doing haha.

I might see if Dad wants to have a few laps of the endurance, get him hooked on buckets too. He sounded like he might be keen.

The 2-hour in Auckland is a 2-hour sprint race. If you pace yourself you aren't going to get anywhere. Going by personal experience pacing yourself doesn't seem to reduce the risk of crashing either.

Us slow fucks (apart from Sully60 on a borrowed bucket) were the only Wellingtonions to finish the BOB last year. Personally I'll be shocked if half the bikes entered will finish a two hour sprint (remember we don't have a whole heap of FXRs down here)

On the flip side, I was the only one to "go hard" during the warm up lap!
