    When to service suspension?

    08 CBR600RR 40,000 km

I am pedantic about all other servicing but haven’t touched the suspension since new. One of those things I never think about or when I do, soon forget. I think it’s probably way overdue.

I found this post but honesty don’t understand half of what's being said other than "CBR600RR" "bendy" and "not good"

    Here what I do understand:
    • 40,000 km and I haven't touched a thing
    • I weigh 80kg without gear. This is average right?
    • “Boomer” says the bike is set up right when it stays mostly flat. Mine never has, it likes to dive in the front and get all light in the rear. This may well be due to piss poor technique as much as anything else
    • I understand static-sag, rebound, compression, oil weight but don't know how much twiddling is needed to get them right

How often (km or time interval) should you service the shocks, less than 40k km? What else should I be doing other than fresh oil, seals? valves?

Also found these sites. Awesome and convinced me I need to set it up. Also convinced me I'm not the one who could do it.

Come and see me at Hamp Downs Sat the 21st, and we can have a good play and a chat about it if you want?

    cheers, am working on that.

Perfect motivation to finally get to a track and pick up some skills, sounds like a fun day. What started out as cheap transport is fast turning into an expensive hobby, the wife will be pleased
