    Crumpet

Well Crumpet Toast to be precise.
I gotta say, its a marked improvement on the good ole' round crumpet itself.
Original Crumptes can be a bit messy with the golden syrup soaking in to much for my liking and leaking out the bottom.
This new product lets the spead soak in but no bottom leakage.....
The texture is better and the taste is spot on.

I didn't like the crumpet toast.

I found it too toasty and not enough crumpety.

So for the price, normal bread was way better.

Have they impoved it since it was introduced?

    Well...I never...crumpet leaking out of it's bottom...that's an image that I didn't need.
    Thanks. Mate.
*goes off to find some new crumpet, before the existing one starts to leak*
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Well bugger me!
Just made a cuppa with two bits of Crumpet toast with golden syrup on. Decadent I know!

Logged on, to have a quick KB catchup while I ate it, Ah-ha crumpet thread, lets have a quick perv before goin back to work, and do I see a bloody thread on my damn toast!

    Weird happenings today! LOL!!!

Btw Crumpets are still better but crumpet toast is a close second.

There is no substituting a hot Crumpet agreed but, the notiable difference is the lack of bottom leakage which got my attention. The wonders of modern baking technology has come through yet again. Now if they can just find a way to keep sultanas out of Hot Cross Buns I would be happy.
