    Well Done Quasi .....

Well done mate.. Had a really good time and we made it home just fine...

Hitcher, Jane , Jazbug5, Sels1 and Vicki and I came down through the Paraparas where it was a cold as charity, wet as the ocean and windy as a politician during election year...

Stately trip home, stopping for an excellent lunch at the Avoca (Jessie the Corgi was pining for some one) and coffee at the red shed.

However.... A BIG thanks to Quasi and crew for setting it all up. I'm sure others will post pictures, tell lies and make innuendo but all I have to say it was a lot of fun... Nice venue, excellent food etc for the dosh mate. A bit of fun with the quiz and auction. Hope everyone else had fun but Vicki and I would personally like to thank you for setting this up. I know what a lot of effort goes into it so well done everyone that help out. Good on yas!

    Paul and Vicki

(ps - um can we do it when it's warmer next time mate - it was cold on the way home - who woulda thunk - cold at a ski resort eh! )

hell yeah.. well done Quasi, Paula and additional Fembots..

Top weekend that, good fun, and nice to catch up (and surprise) a few fellow kb'ers. Can't wait for the next one, and to see the pics from this! All went off well, aside from a breakdown, and a drop (I'm sure those who did it, will fill in better than I could)..

    To all

Yep, thanks Quasi for organising the rally, it was good fun.

Warmer/drier weather would be nice though...

Thanks to Quasi and the Fembots for the excellent weekend! It was good to put faces to names and meet the Wellington crowd.

While the weather started off rather cold and wet heading north today, it dried out nicely in time for lunch at Whakamaru.

Here's a photo from the lunch stop on the way down on Saturday (before the camera battery died).

    BAD music quiz
I concur with the prosecution... - no retort necessary Paul, I think I succesfully voiced my opinion
Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

Speaking of rough outside, my last post on the Anzac Welly ride describes the weather here!!!

Thanks so much Quasi, Fembots and all associated organisers and sponsors. I had a great time. Thanks WT for the quiz questions, and thanks Paul in NZ for the music quiz. While I knew none of the answers, it was enjoyable, despite you seeing me trying to jam my pencil in my eye Both of you, with emphasis on Paul, obviously put alot of effort into the quizzes

My ONLY complaint about the rally? The shower curtains were WAY too thin/light. Don't they know that the low pressure inside the shower (from hot air / hot water) together with the relatively high pressure of the cold air outside the shower causes the shower curtain to constantly get pushed onto you Thats how my last shower curtain at home broke, touched me once to often

Seriously, nice to meet you all and I look forward to the next rally. Next time, we should all have KB t-shirts and names tho, I'm so crap with names, let alone two!

Paul, I was wondering where you lot took off to! At the speed our group was riding, we would have caught up not long after you passed us at the servo, so I figured you took another route. We just wanted to get home, weather was shocking!

pah! Once the Guzzi warmed up I shifted out of second and then...

Nah.. You lot passed us at Oakune. We filled up with gas there rather than stand around in the rain at national park and watched you guys ride past. Some of you saw us.. ;-)

We then flitted back down the slip road to Ratahi and on through the paraparas which is a VERY interesting ride in the rain... We all had little slippy moments and Vicki and I had a particularly interesting one... We were no longer directing events for a short time but the dear old Guzzi sorted it all out and all was well...

Possibly riding home that way was not the best decision but it was OK.. Stopped a few times. lunch, coffee, petrol.. Nice fun..

    Cheers

Hiya all, here I am sitting with my Fembots and reading the posts thank for the nice comments and feedback.

Stonechucker I will make sure the shower curtain situation is rectified before the next Rally. or shower with your clothes on (suggested by Fembot Julie).

We had a good ride home mostly good weather once we left Kuratau junction, after this point it was all good and the pace picked up a bit.

DSS3 bike unfortunetly threw a wobbly and died and is now parked in the Quasi garage looking rather sad, especially parked next to a fine well engineered kawasaki, nah sorry that happend mate, bloody hell you just spent $1400 ON THE BIKE, NOT FAIR, at least it happened close to home huh?

I am stoked with the Raly and how it worked out so well for everyone, yes the weather was a bastard at times but it was worth it.

We are already thinking about the next Rally and yes it will be in Warmer weather and we will try new things, maybe a 2 hour music quiz seen as it was such a hit. (seated classroom style) No I thought Paul put a shitload of effort into that part of the quiz must have taken bloody ages to set all that up, thanks Paul for your help.

A big ups to everyone that attended the Rally thanks for coming and having a great time.

Anyway cant wait to see some photos, I will post some up tomorrow, for now its time for the quasi pillows.
    Night all

Pfffft... Maybe I just need a fembot to hold the curtain straight

Btw, the curtain was a [pt]... (mostly )
