Perhaps that's what the shower curtain was magnetically attached to, the metallic sequins in SC's pink g-string?

Yep - cheers again guys for organising it! (she says quickly, trying to ignore the visualisations of males in leopard skin g-strings) The lodge was so much better than the last one I reckon, esp. with the fire. My only suggestion is that perhaps it should be a little bit longer next time but maybe that's not so practical.
Good to meet a few more KBers, I thought I had everyone sussed but there's a couple of you who have said you were there that I didn't even know were. Hmmmm.
BL - I warned you mate! Cheeky bugger! Quick disclaimer to WT: I was completely genuine cause I thought maybe they were actually auctioning you off as a joke. Hang on - that sounds worse! Oh flag - you know what I mean.
I thought I'd overdone it a bit taking up 3 pairs of gloves but mate did it pay off! Warm, dry gloves at Bulls! Luuuuuxury!
It was a bit stink that our Welly lot never made it to the Avoca cafe - good to hear some of you guys made the most of it!
Also good to hear that I wasn't the only one that suffered the wrath of the shower curtain!!!

Oh and RiffRaff - my "sorry to hear"s as well! That's really not a nice way to end the rally. Is your bike ok? (since we already know your cond.)

    two thumbs up...
a great weekend was had by all (to a greater degree anyway)
a huge thanks to BJ for fixing my punctured tire at whakamaru and the dude that supplied the repair kit (sorry ive forgotten ur name)
also huge ups to pipers for having us, would have been a big effort to make the meals for 50ish people at the same time and doing so with proficiency
the only real improvment I could spot is maybe have it during a warmer month?
cos man my hands got so bloody cold riding back over that range that i was having trouble pulling my clutch in to change gears.
but other than that awesome awesome awesome weekend

Pshaw... sounds like the lot of you need teddy bears... my grandpa once rode naked all the way across antarctica on a scooter wrestling a polar-bear on his fueltank all the way...
Oh wait... my hands got cold too... yeah, summer next time

Muchaso' respecto' to Quasi and the force behind him for the logistics, and w00t to all and sundry for (mostly) keeping it between the ditches.

I think we can clock that as a success and start planning the next one eh?

Fortunately bike came off pretty well - broken indicator, gear lever, and some scrapeage. I very kindly let most of it land on me!

Ha ha, cheers! There was no way I was just going to sit back and let you guys have all the fun while I was there on the middle of a KB ride. I thought I'd join in on some of the fun, even if it was on 4 wheels.

Yea sorry about that. I left my celly phone in my bag which was burried under 2 race bikes and all the rest of the race equipment in the van. I only got your message when we got to Puke.

It was good that you got sorted in the end tho.

Next Waikato rally i might have to crack the race bike out.... Those roads looked far to good to sit as a passenger in a van (although that was a shitload of fun...)
