I've just got back from spending a week in Hamilton whilst my darling wife had a hip replacement. Haven't had much contact with the hospital system for quite some time and with hospitals having received some bad press recently (when do they ever get GOOD press), I wondered how things would go.
Well, I have to say that from the surgeon through to the nurses, physio, orderlies and tea ladies; the service, attitudes and support was absolutely faultless and I'm genuinely humbled by their dedication and good humour.
How they keep their patience with the abuse they cop from some of the Friday and Saturday night casualty morons, I simply don't know. To all of you linked to health services, my admiration knows no bounds.![]()
