    speed

Forgot to mention, i just did the white ribbon run up north and yes sometimes speed does help....we went through the waipoua forest doin 60kph! ! ! ! i was stuck in 1st gear....and my mate on his r6 had his temp gauge out to 99 deg celcius..... ok if your on a harley, but gets bloody painful if you have to lay over your tank.....if anything, [or my advise] let the learners go first, then the cruisers, then the sports bikes.....perhaps say 15 mins between each group? ? ?

Good luck guys from another Northerner!
Hope you get massive numbers to tell these idiots we wont go away!!!
At each inter-sectioon knock the pace off big time to allow the last riders to catch up without having to 'nail it' make lots of noise guys wish I could be there with you.

P.S this might be one of the last 'passive' protests in this battle!!

Board snoops take note, if you thought bikers were angry before.......you aint seen nothing yet!!!!!

If your going to put the learners up front so you can do 70km/h there is nothing stopping anyone putting an L plate on there bike. $2 at the $2 shop. I ride a 650cc bike had my full licence for 4 years but I have an L plate on the back of my bike (only because my girlfriend is a learner and will only ride if I'm riding as well) and its a hassel taking it on and off all the time.

Technically illegal, although I don't know anyone who has ever been fined for it.

Make sure you are always "accompanying a learner and in the process of giving them lessons" when using an L-plate if you're not actually an L-plater yourself.

All the best people, looking like a good turn out so far. From recent protest rides the number triples from what is registered.

On a side note: one or two of the city bikeshops still think the run is destined for Pegasus

Got about a dozen riders sorted out ready to attend so far
