Was talking to Griz, and he recommends that i get a replacment for at least the header pipes so that we can get rid of the cat' before dynoing it.

But if it's just the header pipes, then they'll have to be stock,as an aftermarket header wont mate up to the micron end can.

Shit,....I must be getting fatter then, cause when he called around tonight,i thought he looked like he'd dropped a few pounds.

Yeah.I had suggested cutting it out,but i'm not sure why he thinks i should replace it.

With a slipon ( and I hear its a really nice one too)I wouldn't even bother worrying about the cat mate, unless your throwing race filters in it your only gonna gain a few HP. You'll still get a really nice smooth map with the cat in, thats whats more important on the road.

There is the option of gutting your existing system, I did mine while on the bike, drilling wasn't very successful, the cat stuff melts easy, I whacked an old spade bit in the drill and poked a hole through it then pulled it out bit by bit with some long nose pliers, arse of a job it was.

Or ya could get some U.S headers, they don't have the cat in them at all.
