When do you change your tyres?

I know where you're coming from.

I did a tyre change a couple of years ago.

Cost me a muffler.

Ah ha, I seem to remember that, on the way to "Woodstock" no less!

That was the ride that dopey bastard tried to kill me on that one way bridge!

I was going to get a new set of tyres at Christchurch during that ride.

Can't be too careful about changing tyres then can you!

Change mine if they wearing aspecially as winter comes on ..... my bike failed the front tire this week, had the centre tread line under 1.5 mm and all the rest of the tyre was good..... WoF testing station said rules have changed and if its under 1.5 at any part of the tyre its a fail ggggrrrrr But Ive changed to KING tyres and the rear was getting 13,000km and the KINGS get me 20,000km, dont know what they're like on a sporty bike but my slowish ole cruiser runs good on them, a Harley owner put me onto them.

i find replacing both at the same time is best, even if there is still abit of tread on one more then the other then you get even wear patterns. you do have to take it bloody easy wearing them in though.

have seen dudes get a new rear then gun it leaving the bike shop only to have the rear give an them and there wheels go sliding down the road
