The fatalities do not assist our opposition's arguments as they are not ongoing ACC drains. If anything the ACC funeral payouts are less than the $19,000 per case per year average as calculated from ACC overall figures and therefore serve to reduce the average payout per case per year for motorcyclists.
I think this whole thing is an error of judgement on the part of ACC and of National. They, like many New Zealanders of a certain age, thought all bikers were wild unruly types in patched gangs and blokes living on benefits. They are fast discovering that motorcyclists in general are middle aged professional men and women with access to huge intellectual resources and capable of effective networking and promoting their own political agenda.
I think they got bitten on the bum a bit.
In space, no one can smell your fart.
Thats whats up.
He has been distancing himself and the party from the price rise for some time now

Theres a time and a place for humour, unless you hadn't noticed ( highly likely) we're damnd serious about this particular issue.
No Increase is our goal, Not some harf arsed compromise where they shaft us anyway.
As for Mom sounding like an Android@#$%! Wow your'e still alive, I'd quit while I was still ahead if I was you.
Curious now, I am, do you know who Mom is, what she's already achieved regards the ACC Levy campaign?
If you do I'd have thought some well earned respect was in order, not some tongue in cheek smartarsing comments.
Sorry Mom, I know you can do it for yourself, but this annoys me intensly.
A foot soldier.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
What the hell are you smoking?
So despite that ACC made more than enough to meet all claims, and banked a 1 billion, has a 11 billion in the bank and despite that ACC is a no fault scheme that is not suppose to be about risk, despite that ACC's own stat figures don't really add up and make sense anyway, despite the 12 million made is only rego's, not counting fuel or that we can only ride or drive one vehicle at a time arguement and most own more than one vehicle, Despite that Nick Smith and his all vehichle are subsiding $77 does not add up, despite that the true cost of the levy should be around $3000 simple does not add up either. Despite all this you reckon the increase should happen?
Actually there are more arguements against it all but I was getting sick of saying despite.... and that word kind of sounds funny now...
