Hey cheers rich and saxet!! The footage is wicked! So that's what I look like when I'm riding. I'm looking forward to the next bucket meeting! Shorter races means riding harder and hopefully (fingers crossed) 1 or 2 crashes! I need to learn to start pushing it a bit harder. The endurance was awesome awesome practice for passing. That has been something I have been not so good at but I feel a bit more confident now.

    Wicked riding rich and saxet!

Oh is that what you were doing? Can I suggest to keep practicing? Some of your passes on me were shithouse. I am a little sensitive about people passing me a bit close and where there is no space to do so after being wiped out three times by people thinking they're hot shit on a stick, but still, when someone is a shitload slower than you you can pass them any time without having to pull silly or dangerous moves on them (you weren't the only one, however pretty much everytime you passed me I shook my head a little and wondered if it made you feel better to have passed so close.) Rant over, take from it what you will.

Well that told him. Really though there was lots of dangerous moments on both sides of the fence. I would suggest 2 races next time. I was surprised there were not more serous incidents. The speed differences were to big. I know I would not feel good on the track if I was getting passed like we saw on the day. Thats my 5 cents. Still had a great time.

Yes it is a bit of a downside of the event is the speed difference.

One idea I floated (to no one in particular) on the day is that everyone could do super pole & we come up with a 'within 8 seconds' or whatever of pole can enter the main 2hr & run a B grade race of maybe shorter distance so that the slower don't have to be mixed in with the fastest.

    ??

I'm sorry it came to being like this.
I did see some ragged passing from up in the conning tower (like on the grass on the outside!!).

Hey lets not get all pissy with each other.
I was just saying there was some shit passing going on and pointing out to Hamish that although he feels more confident passing people slower than him that the passee was not always too impressed with his skills or confident being passed (read carved up) like that.
I usually don't mind riding with the faster riders, normally they pass me with plenty of room and I have confidence in their riding that they will give me plenty of room, however it seems some of the infamous red haze may have taken over a little and some forgot their manners. I have as much right as the rest to be on the track, someone has to be the slowest, but everytime someone takes me out, or almost does, it chips away at a bit of the confidence I was building. Please try and remember that ok. Cheers.

Just for a bit of History the Auckland 2hr was very nearly won outright on a 50cc one year by a chap who just left my office & the dodgy git above.

I enjoy racing with the fast guys, it's good to see the lines and what these bikes are really capable of. So for me it would be a shame to split the racing for an event like this.

But, I did run off the track twice avoiding a passing bike. And I saw two crashes that were the result of a passing incident (one where the rider also went to hospital)

Some would say "that's racing" and it probably is.

I hope I was not the cause for any mishaps over the day's racing and my sincere apologies for anyone I did upset. I know some passes ended up a tad tighter than I had anticipated (aye richban )

Second that. I hope I didn't piss anyone off or cause any mishaps. As far as that little pass you made on me young sketchy. All good. I will just have to go faster so its not so easy for you. Or you could make your bike louder so I can here you coming. Our I could make my bike more quiet so I can here you coming and close the door hard.

Haha just shut the door on me. Fishy does

You see you have a significantly higher chance of coming out on top if we collide and it's the simple fact that your carrying quite a bit more mass than me. I will simply rebound of you (onto my head like the last time I tried it to Fish)
