    Hiya,

Throttle lag is gone; plus bike sounds and feels better!

Warewolf - it looks like it has just been cored for flow and noise. Airbox hasn't been opened up; and given the crap job done on the exhaust, it might be reasonable to assume that the carb hasn't been rejetted...

Still going to do the plug and check the carb out this weekend, just for fun.

    Cheers

Good on you, glad to hear. Methodical approach usually reaps decent results.

Diagnosing these things on the internet (or indeed at all) is always patchy as you don't know what injustices the previous owner (or indeed the current) may have performed on the bike & you don't know about. The modded exhaust did get the spidey sense going a little after some reflection.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Hey Livingstone, read your post with interest. I had a Djebel (2003) until about 3 weeks ago. Great reliable commuter after getting some very minor but annoying starting problems fixed... anyway, I had a spare stock exhaust can in very good condition and the new owner probably doesn't want/need it. If you pm me your phone number I'll put you in touch.
