Arrow Nick Smith "size of..increase...is too much"

Nick Smith admits the "size of the increase that the ACC Board has proposed is too much" :

    http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/acc-...rotest-3152378

This was AFTER the country wide protest to parliament. He also says "But I think it's inevitable that there has to be ACC increases across the board". John Key says "those recommended by the ACC board, they're not necessarily the ones the government will adopt"

So it looks like ACC increases are inevitable but not what acc is saying. So who knows, maybe your levies will only increase by an extra $10. We don't know until the decision is finalised next year.

Now if Nick Smith is not going to back down completely after a country wide protest i don't think smaller protests are going to achieve anything.

Lets face it, it has to be a good reason for these increases because politicians know increased taxes etc are not going to get them votes.

The article also says Nick had a private meeting with bikers. Any of them here?

Future protests are just a waste of your fuel guys. The guy has said increases are inevitable which means certain.

Question 1: Yes all of them are here!

Your Statement: I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt before. But BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT You lie down and take it if you want Babey! But if the government can't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that ACC can't work, i don't want to know, because they obviously don't either.

Hands up anyone who didn't know, prior to the Bikeoi, that this would be the response from the Government...

Yes, I see very few hands up.

Geez, I'm now certain that "bey8" is meant to rhyme with "bait". Just need to figure out what the "ba" means.

    This poster is a troll.

Yep. Increase? BULLSHIT!! Parity with cars. That's the line in the sand.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

We were all there, were you?"Bullshit"
This is my response to this poster.
Further, if you believe that the increase is going to go from $700 to just a mere $10.00 dollars you MUST Be Crazy!
We were told the increase will go ahead but not by as much as they, ACC has recommended, this would be a concession of somewhere in the region of maybe 50% so perhaps only an increase of $360.00 you prepared for that?
Also as has been pointed out elsewhere in KB and news papers countrywide. the Privitsation of ACC is what all of this is about and that means everyone! will be up for bigger increases again, so we're fighting to stop these barstards Now, not when it's all over rover.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

Mods, can we have this thread moved to Jokes and Humour. I think this new member is a bit confused as to where things should be posted. Either that or we should take pity on them for their ignorance.

Now if Nick Smith is not going to back down completely after a country wide protest i don't think smaller protests are going to achieve anything.

The protest was in Wellington, all though the riders came from all over the country, the protest was actually in Wellington.

Lets face it, it has to be a good reason for these increases because politicians know increased taxes etc are not going to get them votes.

I am quite sure the government think they have a good reason for increasing the levies, as far as votes go, I am equally certain they have not factored in the number of votes held, or influenced by bikers either

Future protests are just a waste of your fuel guys. The guy has said increases are inevitable which means certain.

It saddens me that you are part of the toe in door, she'll be right fools out there.
On second thought Mods. Leave this here, I dont go into Jokes and Humour often, this way I will still find it to have a laugh at.

Yes I do agree with you.

Same logic as our thread owner uses says that if they'd made it $2000 and then reduced it to $800, we'd be far better off.

    Still Bullshit at any increase.

Can you please take the time to educate yourself about what is going on? Please, despite the fact that all the info is out there for you to read, it appears you may have missed the important stuff. Will you take the time to read a bit about what is happening, and the consequences of that? Please, just for me?

Failing that, stop spouting utter crap
