Have a nice bacon n'egg sandwich and a sausage sarnie as well for brekkie, Busa Pete and Wendy turned up with their spiffing KB flag was a treat. Picked up the usual bike badges on offer and saw good ol'Ixion doing his marshalling duties ... this man is unstoppable!

And yes, I did get asked by several people about why I wasn't wearing my usual costumes! :O ... didn't have a new outfit ready this time around (I like to be different )
    Next time, next time!
Was wondering what was going on there.

    re bike ride 5th Dec

Hi , Chris Moller (Ulysses run coordinator) suggested I got into the Kiwibiker website to contact Richard Tweedy but couldn't find his email address so have now registered with Kiwi bikers in hope that you will be able to help me.

At the beginning of December (Sat 5th to be exact) we were heading north to home in Whangarei from Rotorua and as we approached the northern tunnel, on the opposite side heading south came at least 3 to 4 hundred bikes, possibly more. The sight was absolutely awesome. On the bridge above (the one that twists a bit) was someone taking photos, with what seemed like a high powered camera, and he's the man I would like to contact as I would love to check out some of his photo's, especially if he possibly got our 1970 XW Falcon in them.

Sooo, would you by any chance know who that guy was or what the run was for. I have contacted many bike clubs & different newspapers and noone seems to know what it was about. It would be fabulous if you could put me on the right track.

Thanks for your time. Look forward to hearing from you.

Yep, that would have been the BRONZ toy run alright. A bit surprising nobody seems to have heard of it though... it's only about the 27th year it's been held!

I don't know who the photographer was though. There were a few of them out & about on the overbridges.
