You, and I suspect others, have missed the point entirely.

i dont think i have missed the point.I have been in several clubs organisations where there is a national body in one city with satelites in other centres.A them and us metality prevails unless there is very good and open communication between said parties.

It's not just about communications, it's about resourcing. In this day and age a bunch of well-intentioned folks banding together to get things done in their spare time when there's a lot of competition for that spare time is not going to achieve bugger all. Remind yourselves of all of the bitching on this site about apathy versus MNZ. Apathy appears to be winning.

To be an effective voice, an organisation needs to employ professional administrators and thinkers (policy analysts). Six salaries (for example) soon adds up, not to mention other operating costs. Work backwards in terms of what an annual operating budget of $500,000 means in terms of income from subscriptions and other sources of revenue. It's 10,000 people paying $50 a head each year.

High quality policy advice rarely comes from a couple of dozen folks sitting around in a pub six times a year.

I've yet to see an effective national lobbying organisation run by volunteers on a shoestring. A handful of enthusiastic local BRONZ chapters may prove me wrong. Time will tell.

National sets broad policy and coordinates the regions.
I don't see much hope for this chapter or organisation if the attitudes and opinions you express so often are to become a part of its beliefs, policy, and aims.

Can we have the Feb date confirmed, if it is febuary, though with a date of Feb 16 for a march on Parliment, I would think a Feb Meeting as our next as being, rather foolish.

I have emailed the leaders - maybe you could contact StoneY directly too?

I have two pieces of good news for you!

    1. Ixion is not the only member of BRONZ, therefore he does not set all the beliefs, policies and aims for BRONZ
    2. Ixion is a human being as well as a BRONZ member (I know! It's hard to believe!) so he has personal opinions that he sometimes expresses on this forum, and (probably) when talking to friends and family. Not all his opinions are the official standpoint of BRONZ

I hope that helps to set your mind at ease.
