had mine about 3 or 4 weeks now. Google maps is brilliant, with GPS. Takes good photos, not brilliant but good enough. Internet's great, can check trade me/KB forums etc. Coverage is average, but I think that's normal for Vodafone as my last Nokia also had coverage issues.
You will need to get a protecor/skin for it. Those screen stick ons are a bastard to get right though.
    Works good with bluetooth too.

All the KB and pron surfing you could want away from home for $40.

You can turn the phone sideways and the screen autorotates to be upright and it makes the keys larger.

The iPhone bluetooth is limited. It doesn't allow bluetooth headphones to skip forward to the next track. Same goes for my pioneer headunit in my car
And you can only push objects via BT between iPhones, not between it and other phones or other bluetooth devices.

I still have mine on prepay. It's $1 per day (on the days you use it) for up to 10MB of data. I barely use it over 3G. Almost everywhere I spend a decent amount of time has a Wifi I can connect to if I wanna check email or google or kb etc

Of course it can. You hit edit, select what part/s of the message you want to forward, hit forward button, and presto!

I recommend the 'Incipio' Skins. Real slick, super thin and ridiculously tough.

As far as the screen saver is concerned, the surface of the iPhone itself is almost in-penetrable! And it has been designed to limit the greasy finger prints all over the screen. The plastic covers don't do that So I just leave it off.

I'd say it'll be sweet dude.

You just need to take your time at the beggining. So it learns your words etc.
I've also been told that the keyboard is so super smart that it predicts the next letter in the word you're typing and enlarges the 'hit area' of that letter....

    COOL FUCKING PHONE!!

    Awesome! Congrats! Enjoy!

Ringtones? Well....This is one variation of the theme

    Custom Ringtones

There's heaps of variations, and it seems quite long winded...but if you REALLY NEED to do it, I'm sure you'll get it sussed after a few tries!

    Good luck

PS. Google 'Jailbreak my iPhone' or better still, youtube it. It's primo!

I use my 3GS as a wireless modem (i.e. Internet tethering).

It works great - I can get Internet through my laptop wherever there's a good cell signal.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Can your telco tell the difference in transmission data ..here they did not release tethering so u had to jail break it

    I fucken hated mine.

I went back to a blackberry within a week.

Now I have a bloody $1200 phone that is only used as a ipod occasionally and primarly used as a remote control for my itunes on the mac.
