No need to sell - I get given them free from Vodafone.

I hate it because I do a ton of emails. and the tough screen is just not good enough for the amount of emails I do.

The iPhones that are sold over here come unlocked from the factory.

You can use whatever SIM card you like, whatever carrier you like, and Internet Tethering is enabled through the standard Vodafone carrier settings.

I understand it is a similar situation in Australia and Hong Kong. The iPhones can be purchased without a carrier subsidy or contract, so you can do whatever you like with them.

    Had mine for a week.

Not very comfortable to use as a phone, Its designed to slip out of your hand, Looks a bit gay.

Happy with the phone interface though being tied to itunes is a major downer.

Photos are poor, colours are over saturated and the detail is lacking though at least it takes the photo when the button is selected.

    Video is wavy.

Granted its a phone and not a camera but for the cost i would have expected it to be better. Likewise the bundled headphones, Good for the bin, Not good for a $1200 device.

I like the available apps and games.

At the end of the day it feels like an ipod you hold up against your head to talk to people.

If I had to pay for it I would be seriously put out, as it is I think it would make a fine phone if the dropped the price by a 70% and made it 2GB.

    And got rid of itunes.

    $1500 for a phone?

    is it really worth it?
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

If things are going badly in our circumstances, the answer to what is happening to us outwardly is more often than not found in the mirror.

    Can you return it?

Shouldn'ta done that...iphones are nothing but trouble! I have had one and nothing but money wasted on repairs, repairs and shit breaking off of it, or breaking in it! The Japs make those things to breakdown! Not worth a penny!

Should of gone with a Blackberry (the iphone competitor that surpasses all expectations) . I love my "crackberry" and yes, I am addicted!

Depends entirely what apps you need....

    • I use Converter alot for exchange rates, and converting pounds to kgs and miles to kms for example.
    • I also use the WeDict pro alot
    • aLight is usefull too if your in need of a torch
    • Backgammon is awesome

    ...

Like I said before, just jailbreak it and visit Appulo.us for apps. You can get almost all apps for free.

Like I said before, unless you want to pay for everything...jailbreak it

To get custom ringtones for the iPhone just refer to my previous posts.

To get message tones it seems a wee bit tricky, but here's a copy and pasted body text from a forum:

"you can install custom sms tones into the iphone, but you need to SSH into your phone and change them there! You wont be able to change the name of the original ones i.e. tri-tone;chime etc. So what you need to do is choose whatever sms tone you like doesn't matter how long it is, convert it to .aif or .aiff then rename the extension .caf!!!! But here's the catch, you will also need to change the name of your tone to "sms-received1.caf" and you can only put 6 tones in the phone because you only have 6 tones to choose from in "settings". I have changed all 6 of mine, the best one being "excuse me boss you have a text message"!!! you can also make the dialer say the number you are tapping instead of the boring stock one, and you can also change the mail tone, I myself have the "You've got mail" tone. So yes, you can do all these things and more, you just need to know how to ssh into your iphone... And I do believe there is an app in installer that automatically does this but I have no need to try it out. Good luck .....!!! "

    From this url: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=439864

if you REALLY need to change them just google it. It's all a wee bit round about, and it might take a bit of learning/research to get there...but it is possible

I've never felt the need. As far as I'm concerned, they are just tones...

    Goodluck
