Muffler?

dumb question........do mufflers have to meet any other legal requirments other than noise to be legal?
for example if i re skin my mufflers i will loose all the specs that are stamped on the outside,will this be an issue at wof time?

Should not be an issue if they are not loud. Some WOF testers are nutters and may fail anything not "stock" .....

So are you going for snake or sheepskin outers?

RPM's depend on the motor IL4's are higher than a V twin.

The only thing that matters is the noise level. If the sound doesn't draw attention to the muffler they're not going to look into the pipe any further.
