We have chipboard walls in our house - nasty stuff!!! It was a total bitch getting the old wallpaper off, and the new wallpaper isn't going up well.
Sanded and sized walls and hung some of the paper. Two days later it was basically coming off. So I pulled off a lot of it and rang the wallpaper supplier. They said to sand again, paint with sealer, then two coats of size. Did that, and I pasted the paper as well (instead of the waterbath). It's now sticking ok, but the joins are very obvious. Basically it looks shit.
Any suggestions as to what to do now??!! I've done plenty of wallpapering before (but on gib board) and haven't had anything like this happen.
I'm even thinking the wallpaper has been cut badly - does that happen?
Any suggestions from anyone in the "know" would be gratefully received!!
