Blah Ahem ... testing testing ..1,2 3 even? (chazzledazzle)

Hi to anybody reading this - bought my first bike 3 months ago, VL250 Intruder - bringing it over from the Hibiscus Coast to home in the CBD in the next week or so, time to play with city traffic ... Wanting to meet other new bikers to ride with too ... safety in numbers and great to have likeminded company to get away - short trips or longer - whatever ... So, if you're in the same boat ... hELLO HELLO!

Before you huys go riding in groups, Whether they are large or Small.. I suggest reading a thread on here about Group riding, Counter steering etc.. Might save your lives if someone happens to screw up while on a ride..

Thanks to that thread, I felt i had a pretty good knowledge on group riding.. The only thing i can say is RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE!

Thanks Chanceyy for forcing that into me! Wont forget it wherever i go

Other than that, Welcome to KB!

Welcome to the madhouse...don't forget to ride as well as post. Sometimes we forget that bit. :-)

Oh, and there might be less safety in numbers than you think. I'll probably be organising a newbie (i.e. not a race) friendly cruise down to Raglan and back once it stops blowing - so look out for that.

Hey bro, yeah ride on your own until you have some basics sorted, and please learn to swerve. Welcome to KB, and great choice of learner bike!

Slightly off topic, but surely you would be better to bring your home to the bike? :-) I'm sure MadDuck would agree.

Haha, I would agree with that, I've lived in Red Beach, Whangaparaoa and Gulf Harbour. Would move back up that way in a heart beat.

Cool - thanks - i will keep an eye out ... I have to force myself to find hills for dreaded hillstarts so will have to get that sorted with confidence before venturing to the unknown territories - practice makes perfect ....

Practice hillstarts on downhill bits first ... sounds silly I know, but same principles apply. AND ... less chance of stalling.
