Wellington New Years KB Rally

Was out at Ocean beach last month and noticed DOC have put in some toilets at the western corner of the beach, some good camping spots there as well but more people around at that time of year. Great spot if the weathers right.

Ocean Beach - Turn off at Featherston onto Cross Creek Road, which will then become Western Lake Road. Follow Western Lake Road which will then become Wharekauhau Road. Follow Road down valley and over bridge, where Wharekauhau Road then becomes Western Bay Road (which is the road going along the beach). About 3k's down the beach will be some baches to your right, and some large fishing boats to your left. About 200m on your left is where we will be. Just look for the bikes, or watch for the stunt man riding around on the beach.

Just to note, the road along the beach is gravel, however it is quite compacted and easy to ride over as it is not on the beach itself (The ZX10 Glides Across).
