Gidday guys,
My brother, drummer with the band Shrinking Violets in the Uk is here for a brief holiday and we've recorded some shit together, thought I would share it with you all...
Here's the official press release....
Let me introduce you to the delicious sound of the ugliest and fattest brothers ever to drink beer and eat pies - The Bad Apple Mother Flippers and their debut EP - Tidy Down Under
We're talking expertly tuned acoustic and electric guitars played to perfection, a bass guitar making the most wondrous sounds imaginable, skiffle drums and percussion that are sometimes even played in time, the tremendous tones of ukuleles, tambourines and shakers brightly lighting up the background, creating an almost surreal and spiritual mood - whilst the sweetest vocals ever recorded fill your room with gladness, joy and fierce stomach cramps.
The swearing is only there to make us look tough and streetwise
Yep you guessed it - the Hills have combined their mighty expanding waistlines and put together a selection of musical tunes and ditties to accompany bridge evenings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, prayer meetings, funerals, weddings and girlie coffee mornings everywhere.
This fine collection includes some old numbers; for example a 25th Anniversary version of the Private Edition classic Ghosts of The Battlefield, a couple of old Shrinks songs given a brand new treatment - plus, and for the first time ever on the internet, transistor radios, gramophones & iPods of the world - the fabulous He's The Man.
Plus some new original Bad Apple Mother Flipper tunes being aired here for the first and indeed the very last time - intense migraines guaranteed!!
Every home should have one - hey, why not give a copy to a close and loved friend this yuletide - you never know, it could be the start of a lasting and meaningful relationship??
